There are different types of growth which can be seen in money, knowledge and power. This growth can be done even in the spiritual life. One can add and grow- this can be seen in normal people who earn better than their fathers and comparatively have better life style. But they add money.
One can multiply and grow- this can be seen in the people who make in crores. Very few middle class people break out at this level. People who are in business or an entrepreneur are at this level. One can grow exponentially and this can be seen in the growth of Reliance’s Dhirubhai Ambani. Very few people can grow at that speed and level.

In knowledge, exponential growth was seen in kavi kalidas’s life who was blessed by devi kali with unlimited knowledge and poetical power.
Good example for the exponential growth in power is napoleon and bynatzibe who rose from being a foot solider to emperor of the world.
In wealth the exponential growth was seen in the life of Ambani who made it big.

Normal people who have guru or some kind of sadhana grow in ordinary speed. They have lot of breaks, problems and difficulties and cannot grow in a speed which is astonishing or astounding.
My teacher deshika kirtie said that what takes a dakshinchara person to grow in 20 years, a vamachari can grow in one night. When you meet such a man one’s own sadhana will take of in a zip speed. What ever he gives will work. It will change the way you have live the life. Change of people, place, events and situations will happen so fast that one will become breathless. What looked like magic and mystery, one can grow very fast. Every problem becomes a jumping point in to sadhana. Every difficulty, problematic person becomes the point of exponential growth. Even having sex will become spiritual.

I think there are ordinary people who play the games of spiritual life. They are basically good in marketing and promotional activity. If one is searching for divine, hardly one is allowed to focus on the public relation exercises. One comes to the point and realises that to keep the focus pure, one has to release a lot of things in life that will make them popular, successful or make lot of money.
