SPIRITUAL PATTERN

There are many common patterns in sadhana. If one reads the life of saints you will see these entire patterns getting repeating again and again. Hardly it is noticed by many people. Let me broadly classify it as based on satvic deity and ugra deity. Many parameters will be used to analyze the pattern.

GURU
A good spiritual sadhak will have a guru.
Ugra devata – normally they will get guru very far from their birth place and secondly they have to search for their guru very intensely.
Satvic devata – normally they will get the guru in their place of birth and guru appears very early in their life.

SPIRITUAL TEST -
Everyone will get tested in conduct practice and sadhana. This is nature way of grading or up grading a soul.
Ugra devata- most of them will get tested in the night. There will be psychic attacks from spirits and forces of the ethereal world. The attacks of ghost on the great milarepa of the kaigu lineage and the attack on the great master guru padma sambhava is an example for this.
Satvic devata will get tested in the morning and they will have attacks from human beings. For example the great abhrami battar gott tested by king sarofoji. The great 63 nayamars got tested by lord Shiva in different human forms. For example thygaraja raja idol was thrown in water by his brother.

PLACE
Ugra devata – they have to be away from the society, in samshana or places were normal people do not inhabit or visit. They will also change place often
Satvic devata – they will be close to city or main roads. They will have palatial residence and generally will stay in one place for long time. ISCKON temple in Bangalore and also the thyagaraja swami of thiruvaiaru.

DISCIPLES
Ugra devata – they will have one or two disciple who will be of great caliber. For great milarepa, the great gampopa. For the great bhawan nityanada the great mukdtanada.
Satvic devata – they will have many disciple of varying caliber. Mostly they do not surpass their guru.

LEVEL OF SADHANA
Ugra devata – mostly they will get enlightened in one life time. Some of them go beyond very few life times. The churning or break out is very intense in this kind of sadhana
Satvic devata growth is slow and steady. Many beings will get benefited and in the long run they will have success.

LOVE
Ugra devata – they express love through truth and test. They do not mince words and they can be offensive
Satvic devata – they express the kindness softness side of love. Rarely will they hurt any one and also they take time to help people and always find subtle ways to tell the truth.

POWER OF GOD
Ugra devata- Miracles come in the form of blessing. What ever they say life will resonate it.
Satvic devata – their presence than their words invoke the miracles. Long after they are gone there work will have long term impact.

STRESS OF SADHANA
Ugra devata -Every day is sadhana and focus is very intense
Satvic devata -Balance between daily living and the sadhana.

EXPRESSION OF INTELLIGENCE OF GOD
Ugra devata -They have very few words and rarely can they compose poem or writing. Clearing blocks or taking someone’s karma will be there. It is fast intense and can happen at lightning speed
Satvic devata -They have lot of words and explain concepts nicely and easily. Normally the slow down speed of karma and make people work themselves slowly.

CONDUCT
Ugra devata -Will vary and can be bizarre
Satvic devata -Will be very smooth social acceptable.

VIEW
Ugra devata -Stress on the aspect of god
Satvic devata- Stress on the oneness of god

AFTER ENLIGHTMENT
Ugra devata -They move to get disciples
Satvic devata -They sit in one place and every one comes in search of them

END OF LIFE
Ugra devata -Fast intense and can have disease. suffering is heavy. Can even be poisoned to death,
Satvic devata -Slow and will know before death very less suffering and can die peacefully.

TEACHING
Ugra devata -Varied level life and living itself is a great lesson
Satvic devata -Very good in theory and can make system procedure levels in teaching which will be very good for common people

WHOM THEY WORK THE BEST
Ugra devata -Elite and very advanced souls
Satvic devata -Common people and worldly problems.
