ON THE MASTER'S ENERGY
Many people ask what the use of a master or teacher is. He gives us mantra that is all. He gives some lectures and discourse. What people do not realize is that you will start seeing the subtle world key. First of all when you have a real guru you will have time for sadhana. The guru’s energy will make sure that the sadhana goes unhindered. This will be very strange. One might look like normal man and do normal work yet the mind will move in to the sadhana People will feel spiritual hunger. One will feel that one wants to do sadhana. This hunger is not there with normal people. Days pass out without thinking of god. It will be love towards the master which will make you want to see him again and again. My teacher used to laugh at me and told me “may be gopal, you do not want to come and meet me but the attraction is beyond your control”. Your question will get answered even without asking the master. One will be thinking of some issue and the teacher’s word will fit in to the situation. He will give lift in the energy. He is the SIM card in spiritual life or battery, if we are the cell phone. Our potential and priority will open up. Goals will become clear. Many old friends who drag us will move out. Suddenly life will feel meaningful, connected and peaceful. It is as if soul desire is met. Mind will become clear. Many times money will come at the correct time without much worry. Events and situations will become in our favor. The guru’s words will get reflected in life. Suddenly insight will flood and spiritual experience will happen. Sadhana will become clear and we will take off in a big way. Of course some time we will be in conflict with people which will dissolve on its own. Many times people will experience the awakening of kundalini. They will experience kundalini syndrome When you meet your teacher or master the energy will be powerful and one can feel the energy high. Some friends of mine call it a white wash or blank syndrome. Many times people sadhana opens due to the teacher. They might have done years of sadhana without any experience, stirring or growth. People will go to mutt and ashram without any growth and in a mechanical manner. The real teacher will be a magnetic pull. Time stops in the presence of a teacher. Literally time stops and hours goes as if it is minutes. When god loves you he gives live wire teacher. He will give us shock which will never be forgotten. All plans for voyage and running here and there will stop. You will feel as if you have come home. I know a person whose son’s life settled down after he met his teacher. I know a lady whose husband’s business became successful after her husband followed the teacher’s instruction. Another man paid all the debts and made his own house after he met the teacher. All these people do sadhana and yet their worldly problems will settle down. I still remember my teacher who said “I have not seen god but I will search everywhere and he should never say that I have never tried hard. I will give up everything for the search”. True to his words he gave up his beautiful child, his martial arts, health and career, pretty wife who is bharatanatayam dancer, his house etc. what way to search for god I thank god and all beings who helped me to meet my teacher I thank my teacher sensei kirtie for his grace that I stuck to him for 20 years.
