There are several models in spirituality. One needs to choose the model that suits his temperament and ability. The milarepa model or preacher model- milarepa means one meditates and forgets about the world, doing some thing for world etc. Preacher model- means you teach, preach write books conduct lectures etc. Then the Arjuna model or the prahalad model- the Arjuna model is go out pick the battles and fight for the evolution of the world. In the prahalad model you allow god to do the work for you. Money touching model vs. non touching of money - this was the model followed by ramakrishna paramahamsa. This means u allow god take care of you but using any material possession. in the second model u touch money to spread dharma. Bramacharya model or the grhista model - means doing sadhana completely away from family duty or doing sadhana along with the family duties Traditional vs. rebellious - the new age model is based on rebelling against traditional ideas.
