Remember the deity and mantra will change your mind, character, personality and values. Deity worship is like nuclear arsenal. If have seen ladies who get upset very easily they will be worship durga and mahasura mardinie. There was one person who was restless who used move from one place to another. I asked him whether he worships hauman. For that he said yes. I have seen people who worship shiva. Generally they are not interested in materialistic pursuits. people who worship Vishnu sooner or later love to dress.
If one wants life to be peaceful then one should worship satavic deities. Deities which are rajasic or tamasic will bring in lot of conflicts in personal life.
