HOW IS DISEASE IS DIAGNOSED IN ALTERATIVE MEDICINE

Some of the new ayurvedic students find that diseases are not classified like that of allopathy. This is because allopathy tend to see disease in the microscopic fashion unrelated to the other function and organs of the body. In ayurveda the disease is seen first as tridosha specific or organs specific.

 

Trying to treat disease like allopathy is highly misleading. in fact allopathy disease can be classified using the vata pitta and kapha for organs. For example

pain in stomach – due to vata.

any kind of ulceration,acidity  is due to pitta.

any kind of growth is due to kapha.

 

Also the beginning of any organ is kapa. middle is pitta and vata is the end. Given the disease in different parts of the organ, ayurvedha uses different names and different treatment. For example ulcer in stomach is taken as duodenal and peptic or

In different parts of the stomach.

 

Diseases can be classified in many ways.

 

  • in terms of alphabet.

 

  • in terms of organs.

 

  • in terms of tridoshas.

 

  • in terms of chakras.

 

  • in terms of meridians.

 

  • in terms of symptoms.

 

  • in terms of 5 element theory.

 

  • part of the body.

 

Causes of the diseases are also multidimensional. These are

 

    1. past lives karma.

    1. family and hereditary.

 

    1. mind.

 

    1. food.

 

    1. weather.

 

    1. environment and situations based on work. working in toxic factory.

 

    1. germs.

 

    1. side effects of drugs.

 

    1. life style and living.

 

    1. spirits.

 

    1. magic.

 

    1. habits watching tv for long time can damage the eyes.

 

    1. born with damaged organs and functions.

 

    1. body type.

 

    1. mind type.

 

    1. planets.

 

There fore no one cause can be attributed to any disease. All disease and its causes are multidimensional. Disease can get aggravated due to any of these causes. Trying to think that disease cane be cured by knowing the cause is no use. Some times cause is known and visible and some times it is invisible.

 

Healing can take place or start from

 

  • energy body level - reiki pranic healing etc.

 

  • chakra level.

 

  • nadi level

 

  • dosha level.

 

  • organs level.

 

  • flesh and bone level. and it can move on to other levels.
