I met my friend’s wife almost after 5years gap. She said, “I earn a lot Gopal but I am not very satisfied. I love music and want to do things connected with music”. True. Like this many people are walking in the wrong shoes. They have chased money and they have it. But some thing very subtle and divine is missing in there life.

Work has many components we will analyze one by one –

Money – this is single most factor in work. If you get paid well you are happy. But there is law of diminishing return after a point how much ever you earn you will never feel motivated. Most of them get satisfied when they around Rs 50,000- one lakh. Most of the material desire is fulfilled and they are left with a void. Choosing work based on money is ok, but become clear how much money will make you satisfied. I do not think many people have insatiable requirement for money. Most of them have satiation point. Comparing yourself with others only make you bitter, acidic and negative. Money is the measure of success

Fame – this can be said as noticeably, acceptance, recognition for what you do. If you choose corporate career this cannot be achieved. You will never be famous and at the most few of colleagues and boss will recognize. Artists and social service people tend to be famous easily. If you need fame more than money then choose an artistic career. If any one reaches top in corporate career one tend to be recognized but it happens at the end of the career.

Satisfaction- this will vary from time to time. If you do social service you will be very satisfied. If you tend to make a contribution in the field, creative, learning some thing new, challenging task beyond your capacity, doing some thing different from others, bringing happiness in other people’s life then this satisfaction will come. Most of the time in corporate set up, you do jobs, which you do not see how it helps other, routines and you need fulfill some task. This tend take the soul out of you. one can have tough day in office but still one feels meaningful and wanted, provided you see how it helps whole world or one own environment.

Power – some people love power. They feel they are very happy in ruling people and try to guide the life of other people. Pramod mahajhan in interview told very clearly that he loved power because he could help people. So ask yourself whether you love power, Setting up structures, following hierarchy, assigning roles and tasks. Do you like all this ? Then you like power.

Following one interest- my teacher told me “ every one is born with some innate ability and talent. The trick in life is to recognize it and keep on nurturing it. This is best in the field you love to study read or understand. “ Many people are unhappy with their career because their inner interest and career interest are two different things and never matches. They cannot align personality and soul, which gives them deep dissatisfaction. Following one’s own heart require guts and persistence in the field, which you want to follow. Many people will ask you practical question which will stifle your heart and make you want to leave your heart desire .Do not worry keep following it and one day answers will come and problems will solved.

I can look back with my career with lot of happiness and satisfaction. Without any back ground and training the places I have reached and levels I have achieved is stupendous. I never wanted power so I never had. I loved the idea of reading, writing and consultancy work. I always wanted to be versatile. I practice astrology ayurveda, vastu, management, and consultancy every day so that I benefit other people in some way or the other. I came in Jaya TV for four years, which made me, house hold name in Tamilnadu. For me Sunday to Monday is no differences. I have so much of freedom that I can dress the way I want, tell my clients that I can do reading later. I get paid for what I do it which is the best in the field. I thank my divine mother and my teacher kirtie futunani who guided me, parents for allowing me to do what I love doing.
