WHY I CANNOT FOLLOW WHAT IS GOOD

The great duryodana says in mahabhartha “what is good I do not follow it and what is bad I cannot leave it. The problem is both I know it”. Many people are addicted to bad habits, substance abuse and addictions. The human will is weak, they memory of the addictions is weak, they do not see the consequences and the price they pay for the actions, the desire for these kind of things which kills the soul is insatiable.
What to for that. To follow what is good, one needs to do the following.
Invoke gods grace every day
“lord god I humbly pray that may I use the day for my spiritual evolution and soul growth. May I hear what is good and follow it. May I see what is good and follow it. May I feel what is good and may I follow it”.
Take refuge in guru words
“to the adhi guru, to guru parampara, and to my guru- lord god I humbly pray that may I use the day for my spiritual evolution and soul growth. May I hear what is good and follow it. May I see what is good and follow it, may I feel what is good and may i follow it.
Appreciate every one who does good. Many people criticise other people’s intention, attitude and action with out knowing much. A politician who is criticising is spiritually damaging. There fore one needs to speak high of any one who does help.
When you cannot follow some niyama like unable to do exercises or eat good healthy food chant every day for that niyama to become strong. if some one needs to maintain bramacharya he has to do hanuman mantra 2 malas and one can see the differences.
When some one appreciates that you are having a good character try to dedicate it to the goddess, to guru, god, parents and fortunate circumstances.
Be humble. my teacher sensei kirtie use to say god loves humbleness and subtleness. He is great yet he is silent.
When some one has weakness pray for them do not discuss other people’s weakness, problems and faults. If you can help them it is ok. Other wise be quite. Remember whatever faults we have done, god has been kind to us.
