Many people are not aware how the remedial measures work. It works on the energy body. Many people are not psychic or clairvoyant to look at the energy body. For example when you light lamp or pray there is down pour of divine energy and the energy body expands. Therefore there is release of all old karma. Stirring happens in the soul level and third eye opens up. One is able to see the karmic link, connection and chain of events which makes a situation or a person or a circumstance very hostile or difficult.

When someone does remedial measure for healing a disease, they will able to see the connection between food, attitude, doctor or speech which will aggravate the disease. The healing happens faster. When someone does remedial measure for the marriage, they will able to come to clear understanding of how their attitude, action, connection of friends and speech affects their marriage prospectus. Therefore one will have remedial measure working in various levels.

Secondly for thin karma, remedial measures work on the higher chakras like that of mind, speech, feeling etc. these are represented by head, throat and heart chakra. When the karma is very thick then greater clearing is required. It is like a vessel which is very dirty. In fact if you see the energy body of an individual whose karma is very thick it is grayish in color and is very difficult to see the soul light. Therefore whenever one does rahu or ketu pooja there is clearing of gross karma. If the block is in the mental level, emotional level or situation level it is easier to clear the block. When the block is in the people level, environment level or in the circumstances level then it will take longer time to clear. This gets reflected in lineage. A block in lineage and that which has happened in successive 3 generation is lot more tough to clear. For example when someone had liver problem for 3 generation it is difficult to clear the problem immediately or with single remedy. When a group of people are not married then it becomes tougher to clear.

Therefore many people are not aware what level the block is or how long it will take to clear. This is just like hit and miss. In many cases the astrologer or client is not aware of the block. Ultimately the soul perception of reality will change. There is bound to be growth in every area of problems. Sometimes people think they can escape soul growth by doing remedial measure. The law of reverse process work. Unless one changes the attitude one does not get healed.
For example there was a man who was suffering from jaundice. He went to a famous physician who healed him just by altering the diet. The patient told the doctor that he has performed a miracle. The physician said “ wrong I have given the same medicine to others but people were not strict on diet . That is why I worked for you”.
