I humbly request the great 18 rishis and great maharishi parashura to bless this predictions
I humbly request the navagrahas to give their blessings for the prediction to come true
I humbly request all the great master teachers , naths- the great matsyendra nath , gorka nath, bodhisatvas, tirthanakaras the munis, yogis and divine angels to bless the predictions to come true
may all the detractors, negative intention about me or my predictions never manifest
may their will never operate
may their words never come true on astrology or on astrologer or on my predictions.
When ever they speak against the predictions or me or my work may the predictions come stronger.
May the supporters of astrologer words come true. May the great goddess saraswathi bless their words.
May the predictions of all the astrologers come true, which will make the science of astrology superior to all sciences.
May dharma, satya and prema of god support these word.

There exists history for the country, for people and some times even for some art. Astrologically there has not been much historical record. Especially post independence era. I have limitation because of lack of information on many fronts. Correct me if I am wrong or misplaced any facts. This article tells about broad sweeping changes which swept through astrology in the post independence era. Copying is not wrong. Many people seeing the article would like to write their idea of what was history which is also ok. There is no one version of any event or situations.

There have been important changes in terms of language usage and integration of technology.

Books on astrology were mostly in vernacular language. B.V. Raman the founder of Indian council of astrology wrote books in English which became popular. He also created a structure called ICAS which trained people to become astrologers. They have branches in many parts of India. He also published a magazine in English which popularized astrology among educated elite people. He was good in mundane astrology predictions which also boosted the popularity of astrology. Travelled abroad, lectured and taught few handful of foreigner which also sowed the seeds for the American council of Vedic astrology to be born. Aynamsa of the B.V. Raman was problematic which is still not used very popularly

There has been transition of astrologer hailing from Brahmin community to non Brahmin community where many people from non Brahmin family became astrologers professionally. Secondly the other forms of astrology like numerology, tarot cards, western astrology and runes started becoming popular slowly from 1990 onwards. Many astrologer use the modern technology like computers, lap top, software which gave a giant leap in terms of calculations.

Before that we shall dwell on the era of the K.N.Rao. He wrote book in English books in astrology. Secondly he also popularized the jamini astrology. He has a very good track record in mundane astrology predictions. One of major contribution of K.N.Rao according to me was helping other budding astrologer to publish books and number of titles in different dasha and various aspect of astrology. He has got a largest school in astrology which trains nearly 400 or more people every year. I could be wrong in this figure.

The era of internet

This is where the speed of change accelerated fast in astrology. Number of web sites which offers information on astrology had become huge. Connectivity between India and the foreign living Indians became very easy. The number of astrology groups and regular discussion which enhances many people’s astrology knowledge increased. The availability of free soft ware like jaganath hora published by narasimha ( sanjay rath school of astrology ) was easily available and helped to ease out calculation. Astrology products sold over the web, phone based astrology reading became very popular. The trend was set by sify.com. Now days many portals use astrological services as revenue earning. Many astrologers make good money by having their own web site.
Number of dasha and techniques for astrologer the range increased a lot due to the soft ware. Today we can calculate any dasha or any parameter using astrology software. Instead of going to astrologer’s houses people are using cell phone to connect with the astrologer, taking a reading and paying through banks etc has become a reality.

May I dedicate this merit for the birth of son in my lineage, my brother’s marriage, my sadhana to grow stronger and to the formation of spirtual lineages of my style of astrology.
