What one worships is what one becomes. If one sees the red corridor states, mostly all the people worship kali or aspects of fierce form of the goddess. Of course in Bombay they worship lakshmi and lord ganesha. Both gods are worshipped for prosperity in Hindu religion. Therefore the place is very rich. Whereas in the place like bengal or the entire red corridor blood gets spilled and lot of economic problems will happen because they worship kali.
Kali is a tantric deity and she does not represent wealth. In fact she represents feminine anger in extreme sense. Therefore what one worships is what one becomes. Yat devata tat bhava.
If the person of these states starts worshipping satvic deity then it is possible that all these killing and blood feuds will stop. Of course one does not realize is what one becomes. Therefore it is very important that for solving the problem of Maoist, the temples of mahalakshmi should be worshipped.
