As the dawn of 2007 hits across India there will be big question which is Are We Still Going See The Growth Prosperity Of 2006?
The major predictions which has come to fore is
Stock markets- with the economy set to grow, this year will be a mixed bag.
Correction rising and then fall will be a common theme. The early
part of the year market will be average. New heights of 15,000 can
be reached by the markets.-
The
principle question is the survival of the UPA government.
With Saturn entering simha there will be uneasiness, mix up of
priority, different voices of UPA having difficulty to coordinate
with each other. Especially when Saturn and ketu meets in simha from
September, October, November will be tough months for the coalition
government. Man Mohan Singh is lucky with the all planets in the
ninth house. -
Some major well know politician in Delhi will pass away.
The local government - The DMK collation government will easily survive through this year. Jayalalitha will be put in back foot with some cases coming to hearing
Economy- is poised for growth. 9- 10% of growth will be easily reached.
Secondly many
sectors especially IT and BPO will do well.-
War with Pakistan – tension in the border will be there. Talks will not make much progress. It will move in snail pace. There will be some kind of major attacks of terrorist on Indian cities between the later half of the month especially in the month of the September, October, November and December.
Rains
–
can be tricky year. With some area in India
having the dry area and some will have surplus. Especially the
monsoon in later part can play tricks. -
Information technology –
it will be a boom time. The big four of the Indian IT sector INFOSYS,
TCS, SATHYAM and HCL will do well. Many medium size companies will
have very good results like Cognizant, Hexaware. The recruitment and
results will flow unabated like the last year.-
Auto sector-
it will be a boom time for many motor cycle company. BAJAJ, TVS,
HERO HONDA will have good growth. The high end motor cycle will see
new launches. The women segments will tremendous growth. Pink
variety will sell well. Car segment will start doing well. The entry
level and luxury segment will do extremely well.-
If the TATA launches the one lakh car, it will be a smash hit. Traffic jams and over stretched cities road ways will common.
Tele communication- if I am a stock broker I would put all my money in Bharti Tele. The man, Sunil Mittal is poised for a big growth as he has raja lakshan features. All the cell phone companies will do well in stocks and sales.
The internet segment will see reasonable growth in the internet users and buying segment. There will be soft ware where integration of phones with internet will be made possible.
Pharma segment – the tussle between government and the sector in pricing will control. Exports, medical testing will grow a lot.
Alternative medical segment will boom in major way. The homeopath and ayurvedic doctors will have increasing clientele walking in to their doors. The healing segment like reiki, melchizedck will have slower growth.
Tourism – the party posers of the Indian economy. The hotels resorts will do extremely well. They will have leaps and bound growth with room occupancy at the highest and entry of the foreign tourist and Indian tourism will be extremely good. Temple tourism and Indian tourist going to foreign locale will increase considerably.
Therefore air
line will see growth. One or two more air lines can come. Still the
major players will do well. Specialty segment like hiring copters
will increase.

Fuel prices
will increase due to global market and that will have least impact
on growth of economy.-
There will be record tax collection, export earnings for the government. Down sizing be followed in discreet manner in the manufacturing sector less by the government sectors.
Tamilnadu as a state will have the one of the highest growth and investment climate being very good. Infrastructure growth and keeping of promise on TV, rice at Rs. 2 will continue.
Gold jewelry , diamonds and sales of flats will continue to grow. There will be correction but again there will be growth. Indians are becoming richer. Shoot the pessimist. It is the purchase time. With the mercury bhukthi and Jupiter in the seventh house the goddess lakshmi has camped in India temporarily.
The clothing’s accessory sectors in Tamilnadu will see growth and also all across India. Fashion and specialized stores will be very good. The street in T.nagar will still have unabated crowd. Pocket blouses and some other innovation marketing of dresses by these players will continue. Tamilnadu will one day become sari and fashion capital of India with auto and IT following the trend.
The boom of retailing will start happening with major players opening doors. The start will be slow but then only in 2008 they will see lot of growth.
Law and order in India over all will be fine, with the usual stories of killing dadas and corruption in government projected by media will be common.
Indians are
becoming television serial addicts and couch potatoes. One end there
will be increase in spas and gyms and in the other end TV companies
will be the main source of entertainment. The sun TV shares will go
up. -
The film industry will have average growth with 7 – 10 films being block buster and rest will be average. The tamil nadu government will be very kind with film makers. The international scene will look better for the hindi films.
Education sector will see more colleges in medical and engineering opening in private sectors. Government will still implement quota system.
Banks will do well. They lending and booming with launching of new products will be good. Insurance of private will have marginal growth.
Indian cricket will have shocks and awe. The area of tennis, shooting, golf will do extremely well. The Indian golfer will rise to record level.
More health foods and Indian eating out will be common, with advertisement industry in the boom. On the whole the first three quarter will be good the last quarter will have shocks. But then India is growing and shinning.
